was written with the hope of showing the world the strength of the human spirit. The details of the author's life show a courage and determination to overcome the label of "victim."
She not only survived rape and being nearly murdered at the hands of her former husband, she cheated death on two other occasions.
She grew up in a very chaotic, dysfunctional background of verbal, emotional, sexual, and physical abuse. Her life with her first husband was a continuation of that very same abuse.
This book is the truth she has remembered about who she is, what her purpose is on earth, and where it is that she gets her strength, unconditional love, and acceptance of life and of those who she has chosen to draw into her journey. Her wish is that those who read the book realize that they are valuable, worthy, and have a purpose for being here as well. There is a God and miracles can and do happen. She knows because she has lived them.

Lene's book makes me look in retrospect at the beautiful, deep, intense, sensitive and vulnerable child that she was and how she longed for a world of roses and tranquility and peace and love. Instead she learned of violence, discord, selfcenteredness, and anger, and sometimes evil disguised as love. A place that no one protected her from. But in spite of it all she still had a positive belief in the good of people and that her place in life has brought her many lessons in which to grow and mature. MS

This book is an insight into how strong people and their faith and belief in humanity really can be. It took me on a journey that led me to re-assess my own self worth and left me with the thought that their is always a light at the end of even the darkest tunnel. The author is an ambassador for women everywhere. KB
